Aaron Young, 38, Archbold, told police on Friday, Feb. 12, someone attempted to make a purchase online using his credit card information.
Young told officers someone attempted to purchase a pool vacuum, valued at $378.73, using an online money-exchange website.
Young said he closed the credit card account linked to the website, and reported the incident to website operators to advise of the identity theft.
Police say an investigation is pending.
