Cameron Thatcher
Cameron Thatcher, 11, grandson of Maryann Thatcher, Archbold, competed in the 2009 USA Diving Junior National Championships in Moultrie, GA., Aug. 5-8.
He finished third on the onemeter springboard and 11th on the three-meter springboard.
He qualified for the national championships by placing first on both boards at the Region 4 meet in Ypsilanti, Mich., and third on both boards at the Zone B regional championships in Huntersville, N. C.
Cameron trains at Eastern Michigan University. A sixth grader at Timberstone Junior High, he is the son of Paul and Kristin Thatcher, Sylvania.
