The Archbold boys tennis team, under James Kidder, fifth-year head coach, has 10 returning letterwinners and looks to improve on last year’s 8-6 record.
The Streaks were 1-1 in league play.
“Northwest Ohio has some top tennis players,” said Kidder. “It would be great to have some Archbold players make it out of districts this year.
“This group has the potential to do that. We have strong seniors and a hardworking group of boys who should help this team be successful.
“We have strong leaders who worked hard in the offseason that should bring great success this year.”
Back are Nick Cassidy, Kevin Fredrick, David Lauber, Bryce Tinsman, Chandler Tinsman, McCaylen Croninger, Antonio Cuellar, Brodie Ranzau, Ryan King, and Riley Krueger.
“We open the season with league rivals Bryan and Wauseon,” said Kidder.
“We will see tough competition across the board but Wauseon will be strong as well as several other league schools.”
The Streaks were scheduled to open the season, Monday, March 26, against Rossford.
