Tara N. (Bannister) Thatcher, 33, of Archbold, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2019.
She was born on Sept. 9, 1985, in Napoleon, to Nancy Bannister and Robert (Bob) Bannister (late).
Tara was a 2003 graduate of Tinora High School, and then continued her education at Wright State University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in liberal arts.
She most recently worked as a substitute teacher, and was previously a member of the Walmart team in Wauseon.
She spent many hours on her feet at Stella Blue, Archbold, where she met and fell in love with her husband, Mark, and the two were married Aug. 8, 2015.
She was a member of St. Martin’s Lutheran Church, Archbold, and spent countless hours volunteering at preschool.
Tara had insurmountable love for her husband and children and was an incredible wife and mom to both. Tara had a powerful smile that was contagious, and the love she relentlessly poured out on everyone around her will never be forgotten.
Tara is survived by her husband, Mark Thatcher, Archbold, and their three beautiful children, Emma (4) and twins Hayden and Liam (2); her mother; Nancy Bannister of Defiance; siblings, Dan (Rachel) Plassman of Ridgeville Corners, Doug (Marie) Plassman of Defiance, Kim (David) Musch of Defiance; nieces and nephews, Cole, Connor and Audree Plassman, Molly, Ty, Eli and Julia Plassman, and Tayten, Brody and Summer Musch; grandparent, Lucille Bannister of Wauseon; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert (Bob) Bannister, grandparents, Charlie R. Bannister and Perry and Alverda Mansfield.
A memorial service in honor of Tara was held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 26, at St. Martin’s Lutheran Church, Archbold. Interment was held privately at Archbold Cemetery.
