Swanton Woman Sentenced

A Swanton woman was sentenced in Fulton County Common Pleas Court, Monday, July 11, in connection with a theft charge:

Angela Alexander, 24; originally indicted Feb. 8 on one count, theft from a person in a protected class; guilty plea filed in April; on Dec. 19, 2015, she stole a cell phone from an elderly person; sentenced to be held at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio until a bed becomes available at the Serenity Haven drug treatment program; placed on two years community control; ordered to pay $150 restitution and have no contact with victim, stay out of bars/ taverns, not to possess or consume alcohol or any illegal substance, not to be employed in healthcare field, abide by 11 pm to 6 am curfew, complete drug treatment.

Failure to comply could result in an 11-month prison sentence.
