Richard Tam, Swanton, was killed in a collision between his sport-utility vehicle and a semi about 7:05 pm, Friday, Jan. 19.
An Ohio State Highway Patrol press release states Cory Pasket, Swanton, was driving a semi-tractor trailer rig on Co. Rd. D and was backing the semi into a private driveway.
Tam was traveling east on Co. Rd. D, and struck the semi trailer. He was declared dead at the scene. The crash is still under investigation.
OSHP officials say impairment does not appear to be a factor.
Fulton County sheriff deputies and Delta Fire Department rescue workers assisted at the scene.
It is the first fatal crash in Fulton County in 2018.
In 2017, there were nine crashes that claimed lives. Between 2008-2017, the number of fatal crashes was as low as five (2009 & 2010) and as high as 14 (2012).
