Suspicious Person, Theft Report In Neighborhood

Archbold police received reports of a suspicious person and a theft report on the north side of Archbold, Thursday, July 25.

Nate Gericke, Archbold, told police that at about 5:22 am, three juveniles were trying to get into cars in the 400 block of Ditto Street. Gericke said he yelled at the youths and they ran to the east, toward North Defiance Street.

The officer searched the area, but was unable to locate the youths.

He also checked vehicles parked in the 400 block of Ditto Street and found no signs of tampering.

Con L. Wyse, 51, 403 Stamm Street, reported an attempted theft at 11:53 pm, Monday, July 22.

An officer searched the area for a suspect, but was unsuccessful.

Officers reviewed video from the security system installed at the Stamm Street home.

The case is under investigation.

Also at 11:53 pm, police received a report of a theft from David Zamora, 31, 415 Ditto Street.

Zamora told officers a blue and gold book bag, worth $35, and a breast pump, valued at $200, were stolen from a vehicle.

Officers were able to obtain a description of the suspect. An investigation is pending.
