Susan E. Kulka, age 60, of Jackson, Mich., and formerly of Defiance County, Ohio, passed away Saturday afternoon, May 4, 2013, in her home, surrounded by her family.
Susan had worked at Sauder Woodworking in Archbold for 10 years.
Susan was born in Wauseon on Feb. 11, 1953, the daughter of Robert and Barb (Hoffman) Leupp.
On June 4, 2004, she married Robert Kulka, and he survives.
She had been a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Defi- ance.
She had a great love of gardening and was a Certified Florist, a member of the Michigan Florists Society, was a Michigan State University Master Gardener, and was a member of the Clark Lake Gardener’s Club.
Susan also volunteered on numerous public beautification projects, did volunteer landscaping for the Jackson Humane Society, and was also a volunteer, along with her husband, Robert, at the Holy Trinity Christmas party in Detroit for several years.
Surviving is her husband, Robert, of Jackson; children, Lance Fox of Columbus, Landon (Rhonda) Fox of Dayton, Heather (Gavin) Sever of Columbus, Kendra (John) Cavin of Ypsilanti, Mich., Michael (Kristina) Kulka of Jackson, Mich., Emily (Rob) Hann of Hudsonville, Mich., Phoebe (Dan) Kulka of Grand Rapids, Mich.; her father, Robert (Mary) Leupp of Archbold; her mother; Barb Schindler of Napoleon; 10 grandchildren; two brothers, Greg (Terri) Leupp and Douglas Leupp; and one sister, Dawn Forsythe.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, and on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Grisier Funeral Home in Archbold.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Defiance, with Pastor Timothy Reynolds officiating.
Interment will be private in the Archbold Cemetery.
