Delta’s Jess Kern won in 21:59.

“Adrian (Ramirez) and Michael (Volkman) really ran well today, bettering their Delta Invitational times by 11 and 21 seconds,” said Mike Wachtmann, coach.

“Chan (Tinsman) and Seth (Strawn) also cut more than 10 seconds off. The rest of the boys were not far off.

“I think this speaks well of the work these athletes are putting in as we move toward the important end-of-season meets beginning in a few weeks.

“For the girls, Elise Sauder turned in a very good run, just off her all-time best. Jackie Bell also ran very well today.

“All the girls tried some different race strategies today. Some paid off; some didn’t.

“All in all, a pretty good meet to help us prepare for the bigger meets coming up soon.”
