Archbold made the short trek into Williams County, Tuesday, Dec. 23, for a non-league boys basketball matchup at Stryker.

The Panthers trailed 14- 8 after the first period and from there, it was all Blue and Gold as the Streaks rolled to their fifth win of the season with just one loss, 58- 34.

Stryker fell to 1-4.

Archbold outscored the Panthers 15-5 in the second eight minutes for a 29-13 lead at the halfway mark.

Stryker came out in the third and hit a quick jumper, but the Streaks, led by 14 points from Luke Fisher, went on a 12-point scoring spree to take a 24-point lead.

After a pair of free throws from Fisher, freshman Bryce Williams sparked the Streaks, scoring the next seven points.

Scoring on back-to-back fast breaks, Williams, who finished the game with seven points, buried a three-pointer, and Fisher hit a deuce for a 41-15 advantage.

Austin Grieser finally put a stop to the run with a foul shot, and Parker Ruffer, who hit the 1000 career points plateau in Stryker’s 65-21 win over Edon, canned a jumper.

P. Ruffer and Tanner Clingaman led the Panthers’ attack with 11 points each.

Archbold closed out the third quarter with a pair of jumpers from freshman Eli Miller for a 45-18 lead.

Miller dumped in 12 points on the night.

Stryker outscored AHS 16-13 in the final period but came up short.
