Streak Golfers Tie With ‘Pelier, But Win; Fall To Wauseon Sept. 2

The Archbold golf team had team scores of 175 twice last week.

In the first match, on Monday, Aug. 30, the 175 scored by AHS tied the 175 team score of Montpelier. The winner was determined by the fifth-highest score on each team. Archbold’s fifthhighest score was a 47, shot by Trevor Neuenschwander.

Montpelier’s was a 50, shot by Alex Yagelski.

The three-shot difference gave AHS the victory.

Olley Short shot a 43, while Jarrett Yoder, Stuart Wyse, and Dylan Reisser each shot 44s. Micah Bernath shot a 50.

Treg Waldron was match medalist, with a 41.

Wauseon 150, AHS 175

The Indians won by 25 strokes, Thursday, Sept. 2.

The loss dropped Archbold to 4-4 in the Northwest Ohio Athletic League.

Reisser led AHS, shooting a 39. Short shot a 41; Yoder, 45; Bernath, 50. Wyse and Kyle Bronson each shot a 51.

Wauseon’s Austin Tuckerman was match medalist, with a 33.
