Danny Young, an Archbold senior, won the 300 hurdles state championship at the Div. II state track & field championships, Saturday, June 2.
Young won the finals in 38.0 seconds, beating the second-place finisher by 95 one-hundredths (.95) of a second.
Other results:
•The Archbold girls 4×400 team of Angelica Reyes, Kassidy Garrow, Tressa Parsley, and Jensyn Garrow finished fourth in the Div. III finals with a time of 4:02.14, five seconds behind the winning team from Spencerville.
•The Archbold boys 4×400 team of Levi Wyse, Hayden Stamm, Blake Drewes, and Danny Young finished fourth in the Div. II finals, running the race in 3:23.46, eight seconds behind Dayton Dunbar, who broke the state meet record.
•Archbold’s Kassidy Garrow finished 12th in the 800. She ran the race in 2:22.8, eight seconds behind the winner.
•The Archbold girls 4×800 team of Tressa Parsley, Mara Beck, Darian Oberlin, and Kassidy Garrow finished 13th. The Streaks finished in 10:04.78. Toledo Christian won in 9:25.61.
•The Archbold boys 4×200 team of Jacob Ott, Hayden Stamm, Levi Wyse, and Danny Young did not qualify for the finals. They finished 10th in the preliminaries.–Updated 6.2, 3:45 pm
