The AHS girls 4×400 team finished 3rd, Saturday, in the D-III state track & field meet in Columbus. The Streaks finished in 4:01.39. Versailles won in 3:58.73.

The AHS girls 4×200 team finished 9th, The Streaks finished in 1:47.42. Tinora won the state title in 1:43.73.

Pettisville’s Dominic Frey finished 14th in the 1600 in 4:37.70. Tri-Village’s Clayton Murphy won in a state-record time of 4:11.72.

Archbold’s Kassidy Garrow finished 9th in the 800 in 2:19.04. Calvert’s Olivia Smith won in 2:15.02.-Updated 6.8, 12 noon


Kinsey Smith, Archbold, placed eighth in the girls long jump at the Div. III state track & field meet, Friday, June 7, in Columbus. Her longest jump was 17-0. Timia Easley of Columbus Internation won with a jump of 18-1.

The Pettisville boys 4×800 team of Jeremy Mann, Tim Iott, Kyle Lantz, and Dominic Frey finished eighth.

They finished in 8:17.59. The winning team from Gilmour Academy finished in 7:58.25.

The Archbold girls 4×800 team of Mara Beck, Tressa Parsley, Darian Oberlin, and Kassidy Garrow finished 10th in 9:54.67. The winning team from Russia finished in 9:36.12.

Qualifying for Finals:

Archbold girls 4×400 team of Meridith Short, Kassidy Garrow, Tressa Parsley, and Jensyn Garrow qualified for Saturday’s finals. Their qualifying time was 2nd.

The Archbold girls 4×200 team of Kinsey Smith, Meridith Short, Kassidy Garrow, and Jensyn Garrow qualified for Saturday’s finals. Their qualifying time was 8th.

Not qualifying for Finals:

Archbold’s Levi Wyse did not qualify for the finals in the Div. II boys 400. He finished 13th; only the top 8 qualify for the finals.-Updated 6.7, 3:25 pm
