The Fulton County Jaguars Special Olympics team traveled to Columbus to compete in the 50th annual Special Olympics Ohio State Summer Games, June 28-30, at The Ohio State University.
More than 2,800 athletes from around the state traveled to compete in the threeday competition.
The Jaguars took track and volleyball teams.
Gold medal winners in track included Danelle Bodette and Tim Rettig, Archbold; Aric Gurzynski and Shawn Summers, Wauseon; Xavier Bustamante, Delta; and MayLynn Sterrett, Swanton.
Twenty-two gold, silver, and bronze medals were won by the track team.
The volleyball team also placed first, beating their opponents 4-1.
