Six Persons Sentenced

Six people received sentences recently in Fulton County Common Pleas Court:

•Courtney Taylor, 23, Van Wert; indicted May 21, 2018, on one count each, identity fraud, theft; entered guilty plea to theft; Jan. 12-13, 2017, took out a loan in another person’s name; sentenced Thursday, April 18, to one year community control; ordered to pay cost of prosecution, $1,500 restitution to loan company, have no contact with victim, call probation officer once a month. Failure to comply could result in 180 days at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio.

•Terra Hall, 20, Swanton; indicted Feb. 11 on one count each, grand theft of a firearm, falsification in a theft offense; entered guilty plea to theft; on Oct. 20, 2018, stole a firearm; sentenced Monday, April 22, to two years community control; ordered to pay cost of prosecution, restitution of $75, complete her general education diploma (GED), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Program, Empower for Excellence Program, recommended aftercare. Failure to comply could result in 10 months in prison.

•Wayne Dauwalter, 37, address unknown; indicted Sept. 17, 2018, on one count, burglary; pled guilty to trespass in a habitation when a person is present or likely to be present; on Aug. 13, 2018, trespassed in home when the homeowners were present; sentenced Monday, April 22, to 96 days at CCNO, credit for days served; placed on two years community control; ordered to pay cost of prosecution, have no contact with victim, abide by 11 pm-6 am curfew, not to change residence without permission of probation officer, complete Cognitive Behavior Therapy Program, have mental health assessment with Maumee Valley Guidance Center, complete recommended treatment. Failure to comply could result in 17 months in prison.

•Crecencio Morales, 33, Toledo; indicted Aug. 20, 2018, on seven counts, breaking and entering, three counts, theft, one count each, grand theft, attempted breaking and entering, receiving stolen property; entered guilty pleas to seven counts of breaking and entering, one count, attempted breaking and entering, and one count, receiving stolen property; between Feb. 3-April 28, 2018, trespassed in seven unoccupied structures, attempted to trespass in another; on May 3, 2018, received, retained, or disposed of certain property of another, knowing or having reasonable cause to believe said property had been obtained through the commission of a theft offense; sentenced Tuesday, April 23, to prison for six months on the six counts of breaking and entering, nine months for receiving stolen property, nine months for one count of breaking and entering, said sentences to be consecutive with one another, and concurrent with 180 days at CCNO for attempted breaking and entering. Total prison term: 54 months.

•Allen Pedigo, 27, Oregon; indicted Oct. 15, 2018, on one count each, theft, forgery; entered guilty plea to theft; on July 17, 2018, stole blank check; sentenced Tuesday, April 23, to 10 months in prison; ordered to pay cost of prosecution, court-appointed attorney fees, $120 restitution to the victim.

•James D. Elias, 57, Wauseon; indicted Nov. 19, 2018, on one count, aggravated burglary; entered guilty plea to same charge; on or about Nov. 4, 2018, trespassed in an occupied structure with purpose to commit a criminal offense, inflicted physical harm on another person; sentenced Tuesday, April 23, to 90 days at CCNO, credit for time served; placed on three years community control; ordered to pay cost of prosecution, court-appointed attorney fees, be assessed by Recovery Services of Northwest Ohio, complete recommended treatment, not to consume or possess alcohol or illegal drugs in home or vehicle, not to enter bars/taverns, comply with 10 pm-6 am curfew, wear transdermal alcohol detector, have no contact with victim. Failure to comply could result in four years in prison.
