Siblings Tops In Friendship Days 5K

The Pettisville Friendship Days 5K race was truly a family event, with two sets of siblings taking the top four spots on the leaderboard, Saturday, June 26.

Brothers Logan and Tanner Rufenacht ran away from the field to place first and second. Twenty-yearold Logan finished in 17 minutes, 22 seconds. Tanner, 36, crossed the line in 17:32.

The first female runner was not far behind. Alexa Leppelmeier, 23, finished in 17:47. Her brother, Jack, 13, came in fourth in 19:42.

The one-mile kids fun run had 14 runners. The youngest was Colton Griffith, 3, and the oldest was Graycen Osterday, 11, who was the first to cross the finish line.

Daniel Hastings, 7, was second, and Lydia Osterday, 7, was third overall and the first girl.
