Joe Short, a rural Archbold resident, and a former German Township Trustee and Fulton County Commissioner, has filed for one of two available German Township Trustee positions.
Short turned in paperwork late last week.
Short was elected as a trustee in the fall of 2003. He did not complete a full term before running for Fulton County Commissioner in 2005.
He won a commissioner seat, and served one full term.
Short announced in January 2010 that he would not seek reelection that fall; his term ended on Dec. 31, 2010.
Short has spoken out on the side of the trustees in the current debate over ownership of the Archbold Fire Department equipment.
Short’s name will be on the Nov. 7 general election ballot with incumbents Bruce Lauber and Randy Ruffer.
