School Board Okays Supplemental Contracts

The Archbold Area School Board approved several personnel actions, including supplemental contracts, during the Monday night, Oct. 20, meeting.

Supplemental coaching contracts approved were

Joe Frank, head softball coach; Sarah Betts, Greg Kuhlman, assistant varsity softball coaches; Andrea Thiel, junior varsity softball coach; Dan Rychener, volunteer softball coach;

James Kidder, boys tennis coach; Thomas Walker, Ryan Holgreve, Mike Kennedy, Bryan Miller, junior high track coaches; John Downey, high school head track coach; Dina Gladieux, high school assistant track coach.

Winter supplemental contracts: Char Sharp, assistant girls basketball coach; Ryan Holdgreve, junior varsity girls basketball coach; Jill Evans, volunteer girls basketball coach; Barb Figgins, seventh grade girls basketball coach; Sarah Betts, eighth grade girls basketball coach; Jennifer Hurst, volunteer eighth grade girls basketball coach; Dick Selgo, eighth grade boys basketball coach.

The board also approved salary schedule adjustments for certified staff members who have taken additional college courses.

The salaries of Dustie Brubaker and John Culler were adjusted because they received master’s degrees. Jennifer Johnson’s salary was adjusted for reaching the master’s degree plus 15 hours level.

Jessica Badenhop received an adjustment for a master’s degree plus 30 hours; and Jeff Brunswick was recognized for having completed his bachelor’s degree, with a total of 150 hours of coursework.

Tanner Gerken, Daniel Davis, and Dylan Reisser were approved as student workers.

Ryan Nafziger was approved as a substitute bus driver.

The board approved hiring Kalli Hintz as a home instruction tutor for five hours per week, starting Sept. 12. Her contract will end when the child is released to return to school by a physician.
