The Archbold Area School Board will hold a special meeting today, Wednesday, at 4 pm in the Archbold High School conference room.
Stated reason for the special meeting is to discuss, “the employment, promotion, or demotion of public employees.”
Christine Ziegler, district treasurer, said the bulk of the meeting will be conducted in executive session.
The school board will discuss the hiring of a new superintendent.
A second special meeting is tentatively set for Monday, Dec. 3, Ziegler said.
David Deskins, who became superintendent in 2006, resigned June 28 after he was hired by the Penta Career Center, Perrysburg, as the director of human resources.
Since that time, Joe Long, former superintendent of the Gorham-Fayette and Otsego school districts, has served as interim superintendent.
