The Archbold Area School Board added two persons to the school district staff during a special meeting held Wednesday, July 9.
David Deskins, district superintendent, said the board hired Jennifer N. Burkholder, rural West Unity, as a kindergarten teacher, and Courtney D. Bowers, rural Wauseon, as an intervention specialist.
Burkholder taught kindergarten and second grade for four years in the Delta school district. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Defiance College and a master’s from Bowling Green State University.
Bowers has four years of experience as an intervention specialist, working for the Northwest Ohio Educational Service Center at Archbold Middle School. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Toledo, a master’s degree from BGSU, plus a specialist license.
Deskins said no other business was conducted at the meeting.
