School Board Approves Personnel Adjustments




The Archbold Area School Board approved several personnel issues during their Monday, Oct. 22 meeting.

Salaries were adjusted for six employees who hold teaching certificates. Jessica Badenhop had her salary adjusted for reaching the master’s degree plus 15 hours of advanced study credit level.

Jennifer Johnson and Andrea Thiel saw their salaries adjusted for obtaining master’s degrees, while Bryan Miller’s salary was adjusted for obtaining a specialist degree.

Salaries for both John Culler and Kara Rosene were adjusted to reflect bachelor’s degrees with 150 credit hours.

As part of the board’s consensus agenda, Rosene’s salary was set to the BA-150 level beginning at the time she was hired.

Mario Gomez, Kevin Bostelman, and Luke Stuckey were named assistant wrestling coaches. The three will divide the two available positions between them.

Brian Ziegler was named eighth grade boys basketball coach, while Doug Williams was approved as a volunteer boys varsity basketball coach.

Sports Passes

Rates for winter sports passes and boys basketball reserved seats were approved by the board.

Classified Substitutes

Chad Kruse was accepted as a substitute bus driver. Jennifer King, Heidi Miller, and Linda Lauber were named substitute classified employees.

Also as part of the consensus agenda, the board approved several policy revisions and approved a transfer of $22,500 from the interscholastic sports fund to the general fund. The general fund had advanced the money; the sports fund repaid that advance.

The board approved high school fees for the 2007-08 school year and approved the district’s five-year forecast.

Tuition reimbursement for classes taken by teachers during the 2006-07 school year was approved. The reimbursement agreement is part of the teacher’s contract.

In connection with tuition reimbursement, the Archbold Area Foundation donated $4,000 to the district to apply toward tuition reimbursement.

Fypon, LTD., donated $780 to the school district’s athletic department to purchase golf bags for the golf team.
