Samuel Warren Frey, 60, of Pettisville, passed away peacefully in his home early Monday morning, Aug. 14, 2017.
The son of the late Warren Frey and Clara (Stuckey) Frey, he was born in Wauseon on Aug. 30, 1956.
Sam graduated from Pettisville High School in 1974.
He was a member of West Clinton Mennonite Church.
He started his career at Frey Construction working for his father.
On Aug. 13, 1977, he married Deborah Kesler. He had a passion for woodworking, watching sports, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed his job at AB Martin Roofing, Ephrata, Pa.
Leaving behind to cherish his memories are his wife, Deborah Frey; three sons, Nathan (Chanell) Frey, Nicholas (Julie) Frey, Jason Frey; grandchildren Matthew, Emilia, and Claire; his mother, Clara Frey, Wauseon; sisters, Shirley (Lonnie) Rychener, Sarasota, Fla., Kathy (Gordon) Poindexter, Waynesboro, Va., Mara Belle (Douglas) Schmucker, Wauseon; brothers, Jerry (Jill) Frey, Clinton, S.C., Allen (Amy) Frey, Wauseon.
He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Interment services were in the Pettisville Cemetery for family members.
Memorial services were held on Saturday, Aug. 19, at 10 a.m. at the West Clinton Mennonite Church with Rev. Jess Engle officiating.
