The Archbold boys soccer team suffered a rare 0-2 week when the Streaks dropped a pair of games.
The Streaks fell to Springfield 2-1 and 3-1 to Riverdale.
The losses drop Archbold to 2-3-1.
Springfield 2, AHS 1
Archbold battled the Blue Devils in a non-conference matchup, Thursday, Sept. 5 at Holland.
After a scoreless first half, Springfield (2-3-1) scored on a Trevor Tabb goal just five minutes into the second half.
The score remained 1-0 until Tyler Kelly scored with 7:27 left, giving the Blue Devils some breathing room.
Elijah Zimmerman put the Streaks on the board with 5:45 remaining to cut the lead to 2-1, but the Streaks could not score the equalizer.
Trey Theobald assisted on the goal while goalkeeper Noah Cheney stopped seven shots.
JV: Springfield won 6-0.
Riverdale 3, AHS 1
Archbold welcomed the Falcons (2-0-2) to Spengler Field, Saturday, Sept. 7.
Riverdale scored on a Jackson Clark goal for an early 1-0 lead with less than four minutes gone.
Coby Miller increased the lead with a goal at 14:45.
Theobald gave the Streaks some hope with a goal with 6:57 left in the first half to trail 2-1.
Riverdale’s Logan Frey scored an insurance goal with 7:39 left in the game to secure the 3-1 victory.
Cheney stopped five shots for the Streaks.
JV: Riverdale won 1-0.
