Rosella M. “Rosie” Dominique, age 82 years, of Archbold, passed away late Monday, April 22, 2013, at the Regency Hospital in Sylvania.
She was born Oct. 24, 1930, near Archbold, the daugher of Alva and Delia (Carey) Grime, and married Elmer “Shorty” Dominique on July 22, 1947.
A lifelong resident of the Archbold area, she was a homemaker and worked as a rural mail carrier for the Archbold Post Office for 30 years.
She enjoyed playing cards, baking, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Archbold.
She is survived by her husband, Elmer “Shorty”; four daughters, Barbara (Billy) Hug and Pat Dominique, both of Archbold, Terry (Glenn) Durik of Toledo, and Ann (Ken) Wise of Sylvania; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two brothers, John (Mary) Grime of Archbold, and Harold (Bernita) Grime of Napoleon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Sandra Kay; five brothers; and a sister.
Services were held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church with Father Martin Nassr and Deacon Tom Dominique officiating. Interment followed in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery.
Short Funeral Home in Archbold was entrusted with the arrangements.
