Roger Taylor Tells AACC About “Walking Thoughts”

Roger Taylor, Archbold native and resident, told Archbold Area Chamber of Commerce members about his new book, “Walking Thoughts,” at the Monday noon luncheon.

Formerly the publisher/ owner of the weekly Farmland News, Archbold, Taylor began his “Walking Thoughts” column in 1961. At the time he was a staff member of the family newspaper, the Archbold Buckeye.

The column was an important part of Taylor’s newspaper for years.

All of the columns in the book are new material, written after Taylor retired from the newspaper business.

The author read from several of his columns and spoke about experiences that led to some of the columns.

Sue Stamm, rural Archbold, a Four County Vocational School staff member, speaks at AACC, Monday, Oct. 8. She will speak on adult education courses offered at the vocational school. AACC members meet at the Home Restaurant for lunch Monday.

Mari Yoder, AACC executive director, said that Marcia (Lantz) Dowdy is the Chamber’s new administrative assistant.
