Ridgeville Corners threw itself and its northwest Ohio neighbors a whale of a party, Saturday, Aug. 7.
Whether it was known as Rally on the Ridge or Ridgeville Community Day, it was well attended, and as the old saying goes, “A good time was had by all.”
Pleasant weather certainly helped, but those who put the event together came up with just the right combination of activities that provided something for everyone.
There was a cornhole tournament, music and dancing, craft booths for shopping, giant inflatables for children, chicken racing, and the everpopular dunk tank.
There were plenty of refreshments, and the organizers served an excellent meal, with no leftovers.
To put the icing on the cake, the celebration generated a large sum of money, which will be invested in the community.
Ridgeville once again showed everyone it is a vibrant town filled with people who care about their community and each other. It’s a town with lovely homes, successful businesses, well-attended houses of worship– even its own theatre featuring live stage productions.
If the next Rally on the Ridge is half as much fun, it’s sure to be a success.
