An Archbold police report states a suspicious social media post involving Archbold High School was discovered.
Aaron Rex, superintendent, filed the report, Monday, Jan. 29.
In a later email message to this newspaper, Rex said the post “was not directed at the school or to harm anyone that works for the district.
“It was more of a statement made by an individual that made me think the person needed help.
“I also contacted the police because I knew other people would see the post and could become alarmed or misinterpret the message.
“The police and school officials both felt this was not a reason to be concerned, but felt this person should be more aware of how they are perceived and also what they post online.
“It was important to me to let everyone know that no matter what, we are always going to be proactive when it comes to safety.”
Police marked the case closed.
