Recent Vehicle Accidents Cause Multiple Injuries

Five victims required medical attention after two recent roadway accidents, said Fulton County Sheriff Department reports.

Archbold emergency medical services transported Sharon Counts Campbell, 58, and her passengers, Winston J. Campbell, 9, and Zoe R. Campbell, 8, Morenci, Mich., to Fulton County Health Center, Wauseon, after a 9:59 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 9 mishap.

Campbell was cited for failure to yield when her minivan turned left from St. Rt. 66 onto St. Rt. 2 in front of a car traveling south on St. Rt. 66.

The driver of the second vehicle, Cheryl Merillat, 32, West Unity, was taken to Archbold Hospital.

All were treated and released.

Zachary D. Bly, 19, Archbold, was treated and released from FCHC after being thrown from his motorcycle while turning a corner at 5:28 p.m., Monday, Aug. 13.

Bly, who was traveling west on St. Rt. 2, was cited for failure to control the motorcycle after an unsuccessful right-hand turn onto Co. Rd. 16. The report states Bly said he was traveling 45 miles per hour going into the turn.

The advised speed is 25 mph.

Bly applied the brakes threefourths (.75) of the way around the curve, but the bike hit loose gravel and slid on its right side across the road and into the right side of ditch. Wauseon EMS responded to the scene.

Bly was wearing a helmet.

Daylan M. Donato, 16, rural Wauseon, was cited for failure to control motor vehicle after the car he was driving west on Co. Rd. L ran off the left side of the road, Tuesday, Aug. 7.

A Fulton County Sheriff Department report said the vehicle struck a concrete wall and several gas pumps owned by John Dennis, 19216 Co. Rd. L.

The incident, which occurred at 10:48 a.m., caused property damage only.

Janice M. Willis, 55, Fayette, struck a deer while traveling west on Co. Rd. K, Thursday, Aug. 9.

The 8:08 p.m. incident occurred at the Co. Rd. 17-3 junction and caused property damage only.


While everyone who receives an invitation to a wedding reception or to a small wedding in a club, hotel or home is expected to send a gift, an invitation to a church ceremony alone carries no such obligation. Neither does a wedding announcement.
