Several thefts were reported to the Archbold Police Department recently.
•Brittani J. Stanford, 23, 402 S. Defiance St., Apartment B, told police at 6:59 am, Friday, March 16 that a tablet computer was taken from her apartment.
The unit, valued at $200, was taken sometime after 5:30 am.
•Jeremy L. Litchfield, 23, Archbold, told police at 6:08 pm, Friday, March 16, that a check for $378.05 was taken from his wallet while he was at 402 S. Defiance St., Apartment B, between 12:01 and 9 am Friday.
The check was later found by Bryan police in a stolen car that department recovered.
•Laurie J. Storrer, 52, 512 Buckeye St., told police at 10:50 am, Saturday, March 17, that she was informed by U.S. postal officials that someone charged shipping labels to her credit card; postal investigators are studying the case.
•Jena Horst, 25, 402 S. Pleasant St., told police at 7:08 pm, Sunday, March 18, that her son’s bicycle was taken around 12:30 pm.
A neighbor’s child returned the bike about 6 pm. The bicycle is valued at $150.
•Claude C. Telles, 36, 100 Depot St., told police at 7:46 am, Wednesday, March 21, that someone broke the driver side window of his pickup truck, unlocked the door, and took a handheld amateur radio valued at $150, a police scanner valued at $75, and a magnetic-mount antenna valued at $25 (total value: $450).
Theft occurred between 7 pm, Tuesday, March 20, and 5:45 am the following day, while the vehicle was parked on the street in the 100 block of Depot St.
•Arlene Maunz, 30, 343 Sawmill Court, told police at 8:10 am, Wednesday, March 21, someone took $9 in change from a container stowed between the seats of her sport-utility vehicle.
The glove box was also opened; no damage to vehicle.
Theft occurred between 7:30 pm Tuesday and 7:45 am the following day while the vehicle was parked at her residence.
Case closed, pending new information.
•Donald F. Holsinger, 59, 335 Sawmill Court, told police at 3:50 pm, Wednesday, March 21, someone took $2 in change and 40 compact discs from his unlocked pickup truck.
Theft occurred between 11:30 pm Tuesday and 6 am Wednesday while the pickup was parked at his residence.
Total value of loss: $402.
Although the outsides of a bone are hard, they are generally light and soft inside. They are about 75 percent water.
