Quilt Week








Quilts take center stage as Sauder Village hosts its 34th annual Quilt Show, which runs through Sunday, May 2. As many as 5,000 to 6,000 people are expected to visit the show at Founder’s Hall. Top: Volunteer quilters work on the Pettisville Friendship Days quilt, “Colors of Friendship,” which will be on display. Forty-five volunteers put in 480 hours, using 780 yards of thread on the project, which was completed April 21. Quilting are, from left: Esther Sauder, Sheila Short, Melda Richer, Carolyn King, and Marcine Klopfenstein. The quilt will be auctioned during Pettisville Friendship Days, June 25-27.
