Primitivo “Max” Rocha, Archbold, died Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015, peacefully in the Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home, Archbold, at the age of 84.

Max was born June 10, 1931, in Realitos, Texas, and was the son of Juan and Herlinda (Rodriguez) Rocha.

Max married Socorro Montoya Jimenez in 1974. They lived in Archbold until they moved to their winter home in Beeville, Texas, in 2008.

Max returned to Archbold after Socorro’s death in 2012.

Max worked at Arrow Tru- Line, Archbold, until his retirement. He and Socorro enjoyed camping, traveling, and hanging out with friends and family.

Max is survived by his stepchildren: John (Pat) Jimenez, Clark Lake, Mich.; Mary (Les) Cooan, Lyons; Maggie (Eric Duepen) Short, Archbold; Rebecca (Nelson, Jr.) Rychener, Moultrie, Ga.; Manual (Mary) Jimenez, Jr., Jackson, Mich.; Diana (Walter) Smallman, Wauseon; and Angie (Dan) Avers, Archbold; many stepgrandchildren and step-greatgrandchildren.

A private memorial service will be held at the Wauseon Catholic Cemetery on Saturday, Oct. 24, at 10 a.m., and will be officiated by Pastor Paul Reichert, St. Martin’s Lutheran Church, Archbold.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to New Horizons Academy/ Sara’s Garden, Wauseon, or the donor’s choice.
