A case of possible voter fraud has been referred to the Ohio Attorney General office.
In a press release issued Friday, March 23, John Husted, Ohio Secretary of State, said a Fulton County man may have been registered, and voted, in Ohio since 2006 and North Carolina since 2002.
That man may have voted in both states in the 2008 and 2010 general elections.
Voter registrations in both states have the same name and personal identifying information.
If the man did vote in both states, it would be a fourthdegree felony violation of Ohio law.
Melanie J. Gilders, deputy director of the Fulton County Board of Elections, said board officials have been advised not to comment on the case. They are only to confi rm it is being investigated.
