Archbold police released reports on two automobile crashes that occurred in the village, Thursday, Sept. 12, and Friday, Sept. 13.
A sport-utility vehicle, driven by Jeffrey Garrett Sparks, 16, Archbold, was traveling north on South Defiance Street, about 45 feet south of Union Street, and was stopped in traffic. Passengers in the vehicle were Luke Anthony Wagner, 17, and Kelby Layne Grime, 16, West Unity.
A car, driven by Xavier G. Lowery, 17, rural West Unity, was traveling north behind the Sparks vehicle. They collided.
No injuries. Lowery was cited for failure to maintain an assured clear distance ahead.
A mishap occurred in the parking lot of the Archbold Medical Center when Hilda R. Sutton, 75, Archbold, was attempting to park her vehicle.
The police report states Sutton stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake pedal, causing the vehicle to go out of control.
Sutton’s vehicle struck a parked sport-utility vehicle owned by Irma Weirauch, Napoleon, before coming to a stop. No injury.
