Police Release Crash Reports

Two people were treated and released at the Fulton County Health Center following a two-vehicle accident, Wednesday, June 9, an Archbold police report states.

The report was one of three released late last week.

Steven Grant, 58, West Unity, was driving a pickup west on East Lugbill Road, and was stopped in traffic about 568 feet east of South Defiance Street.

Jessica Kimpel, 29, Ney was driving a sport-utility vehicle west behind the pickup. They collided.

Both drivers were taken to FCHC by Archbold Rescue.

Kimple was cited for failure to maintain an assured clear distance ahead.

June 4

A two-vehicle crash occurred in the parking lot of Lugbill Supply Center about 11:46 am, Friday, June 4.

The report states a sportutility vehicle driven by Jason Andrew Byers, 41, Bryan, was backing out of a parking space on the east side of the lot.

A car driven by Deborah Vos Nafziger, 59, Archbold, was backing from the west side of the lot.

They collided. No injuries.

June 7

A semi struck a utility pole while attempting to back into a loading dock, Monday, June 7, at about 3:16 pm.

Aaron James Feltner, 23, Norwalk, was driving the tractor-trailer rig, owned by R & L Transfer, Alexandria, Ind., and was attempting to back into a dock on Sauder Street, which is owned by Sauder Woodworking.

As Feltner was attempting to back the trailer to the right, the left front corner of the trailer struck a pole, which was about 66 feet north of East Beech Street.

No injury.
