Archbold police received reports of thefts from vehicles and discovered other cases where someone had gone through other autos.
The first report came at 6:18 am, Thursday, March 10, when Mireya Zamudio, 19, 202 Park St., reported a pickup belonging to Odilon R. Orduno, 58, same address, had been gone through and a pack of cigarettes, valued at $5.80, was stolen.
At the same place, a second pickup, owned by Irma P. Orduno, 48, same address, was entered and a piece of video game equipment was taken, valued at $25.
The thefts are believed to have occurred between 6:30 pm, Wednesday, March 9, and 1:30 am, Thursday, March 10.
Later that same morning, at 6:59 am, an APD officer on patrol was checking other vehicles in the area and found an SUV parked in the 100 block of S. Pleasant St., owned by Mario A. Garza, 64, Wauseon, had been gone through. Nothing of value was taken.
The officer also found an SUV parked in the 200 block of West Mechanic Street, owned by Grant Bernath, 62, Archbold, had been gone through. Nothing of value appeared missing.
