Police Have Leads In Theft From Home

Martin Schmidt, Archbold police chief, said officers have some leads they are following in connection with a theft of cash from a residence.

Tammy Bohner, 412 West Barre Road, told officers $1,300 in cash, in $50 and $100 bills, was taken from a safe in her home sometime between 8:30 pm, Friday, Dec. 12 and 10:45 am the following day.

Schmidt said there was no forced entry into the residence, but the safe was forced open. Nothing else in the home was tampered with.

Officers processed the scene for evidence. The incident remains under investigation, Schmidt said.
