Tera Rogers, an Archbold police officer, said police have leads in the burglary of an Archbold residence that resulted in the theft of $8,406.71 in property.
Police were called to the 1105 South Defiance Street home of Robert W. Wyse, 47, at 2:08 pm, Sunday, Sept. 2.
Wyse told officers his home was broken in sometime between 6 pm, Friday, Aug. 31, and 2:05 pm, Sunday.
The police report on the incident states someone forced his way through a rear door of the home and stole checkbooks, credit cards, home electronics, car stereo equipment, and firearms.
Weapons taken include a 12-gauge shotgun, a stainless steel .45 caliber handgun worth $600, and a 22-250 bolt-action rife worth $900.
The most valuable item was a 1/24th scale die-cast NASCAR collectible model car, worth an estimated $2,000.
