No charges were filed against juveniles, but they may have suffered a worse fate for being out after curfew: Archbold police contacted their parents and guardians.
A police report states at about 3 am, Saturday, July 31, an officer observed several juveniles run across the road in the 1400 block of South Defiance Street.
The officer said he caught up with the youths and ordered them to stop.
“They all complied and information was collected,” the officer wrote.
The officers then took the youth to a residence in the 400 block of West Street, where all were supposed to be staying.
“All the parents and guardians were contacted by phone or in person. The juveniles were warned for curfew violations.”
Police marked the case closed.
