Police Check On Dog

Archbold police checked on the welfare of a dog about 1:44 pm, Saturday, July 23.

An officer was called to the East Gardens apartment complex, where a manager reported eviction papers had been posted for several days; the papers were still in the door.

The manager said neighbors could hear a dog in the apartment, but had not seen anyone in a few days.

While the officer was there, the tenant arrived and escorted the manager and the officer inside to check on the dog.

The officer reported the dog was active, but did not have water available.

The manager was advised to call if activity continued. The officer marked the case closed.
