Police Assist Family To Find Treatment

Archbold police were able to help a local family find help for one of its members.

Police were contacted about 9:08 pm, Monday, Dec. 30, by a man who reported a member of the family, who was struggling with abusing prescription medications, had left on foot, walking in the snow.

Officers wrote in their report they found the subject and convinced the person to return home “and see if a solution could be reached for the night.

“After speaking with all parties the subject agreed that they would seek aid at the Coping Center in Defiance.”

The officer wrote he arranged transportation for the subject and a family member.

“The CP (complaining person– the subject who filed the report) thanked our office for our help, and the subject was transported by their family to voluntarily seek treatment.
