Pleads Guilty To Charge Of Domestic Violence


Joshua Scott Barnes, 36, Archbold, entered a guilty plea to a charge of domestic violence in Fulton County Common Pleas Court, Monday, April 15.

The Archbold police report on the incident identifies the victim as a 10-year-old Archbold boy, who suffered apparent minor injuries in the case.

The report states the boy had been injured by Barnes at Lions Park.

“After conducting an investigation, the suspect was found to be the primary physical aggressor,” the report said.

Barnes was placed under arrest and taken to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio.

The following Monday, he appeared in court and entered a guilty plea. He was sentenced to three days in jail, fined $233, and placed on two years of community control.

He was released from CCNO.
