The pilot of a small plane was uninjured after his personal aircraft crashed about 7:44 pm, Thursday, July 24.
Ohio State Highway Patrol officials announced in a press release that John Crisp, Sylvania, took off from the Fulton County Airport in his personal aircraft. Soon after takeoff, the plane experienced a loss of engine power.
Crisp was unable to make it back to the airport and attempted to land in a field. Upon landing, the landing gear sunk into soft sand, and the plane overturned.
The Fulton County Sheriff Department, EMS units, and the Federal Aviation Administration were on the scene.
An FAA spokesman said Monday the crash is under investigation.
