PHS Volleyball Beats Wauseon, Falls To Pilots

The Pettisville volleyball team is 2-3 after a win over Wauseon and a loss to Ayersville last week.

The Birds hosted Wauseon, Monday, Aug. 25, and won in four games, 15-25, 25-15, 25-18, 25-19.

They traveled to Ayersville, Thursday, Aug. 28, where the Pilots won 25-11, 25-16, 27-25.

Serving: Stephanie Hubby, 2 aces, 10-12; Kate Kauffman, 1 ace, 21- 21; Carley Bontrager, 13-15; Jordyn Pursel, 1 ace, 10-14; Ines Coronado, 1 ace. Team: 70-83, 5 aces.

Pettisville won the junior varsity contest in three games.
