The Pettisville softball team defeated Montpelier in Buckeye Border Conference action but lost a non-league game to Archbold and a BBC game to Edon to stand 7-13, 4-6 BBC.

PHS 8, Montpelier 7
The Blackbirds hosted the Locos in BBC action, Tuesday, May 9.
The game needed 10 innings to decide a winner.
Pettisville led 2-0 after one inning. Montpelier (7-10, 6- 3 BBC) scored three runs in the third for a brief 3-2 lead before the Birds scored in the bottom of the inning to tie the game.
The Locos pushed four runs across in the fifth inning, but PHS scored twice in the bottom of the inning and tied the game at 7 in the sixth with a pair of runs.
In the bottom of the tenth, Brittney Sauder led off with a double down the third-base line. Andrea Flory, the next batter, had the game-winning hit to drive in Flory for the win.
Kyra Behnfeldt got the win, pitching five innings and giving up no runs on two hits, five strikeouts and two walks.
Sami Tilley had three singles, Behnfeldt had a pair of singles, Mackenzie Morgan tripled and singled, Sydney Purtee tripled, and Sauder and Flory each had a double and single.
Edon 6 PHS 3
The Blackbirds traveled to Edon, Wednesday, May 10, for a BBC matchup.
Pettisville led 3-1 after one, but didn’t score again.
Edon (8-8, 4-5 BBC) tied the game in the third with two runs and took the lead with two more in the fourth.
The Bombers added an insurance run in the sixth for the 6-3 final.
Morgan pitched 3 1/3 innings, allowing five runs on seven hits with a walk to suffer the loss.
Behnfeldt, Tilley, Morgan, Starr Kessinger, and Flory had singles.
