PHS Soccer Wins Three, Improves To 10-4

The Pettisville boys soccer team won three games last week and has won eight of its last nine to improve to 10-4, 4-2 in the Toledo Area Athletic Conference.

The Birds defeated Delta (3-5-4) 4-0, Monday, Oct. 5, in a non-league game.

Pettisville led 2-0 at the half and scored twice more in the second half. The Birds possessed the ball more than 75% of the time and controlled the midfield.

Zakkai Kaufmann had a hat trick, scoring three goals. Blake Eyer had one. Kaufmann, Carson Bennett, Eli Mora, and Eyer had assists.

PHS 10, Em. Christian 0

Pettisville shut out Emmanual Christian (0-5, 0-5 TAAC) 10-0, Thursday, Oct. 8, in a TAAC contest.

Eyer scored twice, while Zakkai Kaufmann, Mora, Joey Ripke, Nathan Rupp, Pete Rupp, Isaac St. John, Quinn Wyse, and Micah Yoder each scored one.

Harley Crossgrove, Elise Hartzler, St. John, and Wyse each had an assist.

PHS 6, Cardinal Stritch 0

Pettisville beat Cardinal Stritch (0-8, 0-4 TAAC) 6-0, Saturday, Oct. 10, in TAAC action.

Kaufmann had a hat trick, scoring three goals.

Goals were scored by Hartzler, Alec Rychener, and Ellie Grieser each scored one.

Eyer had two assists while Wyse and Crossgrove each had one.
