Jessica Robbins, a Pettisville High School graduate, will compete in the All-American Quarter Horse Congress queen competition in Columbus, Ohio this month.
She is one of 28 young women competing for the title at the largest single breed horse show in the world.
Robbins, 21, represents Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana in the 2008 competition.
The queen is crowned Oct. 20 and remains at the Congress for a week. During that time she presents awards, does photo shoots, interviews, and shares her knowledge of quarter horses.
Robbins is the daughter of Doug and Julia Haase, Pettisville, and David Robbins, Liberty Center. She has shown horses since she was 12 years old.
Robbins has attended Northwest State Community College for two years. She has applied for admission to Bowling Green State University.
