PHS Girls Fourth At Otsego CC Invitational

With Alexa Leppelmeier and Nichole Foor leading the way, finishing second and third, the Pettisville girls cross country team finished fourth in the girls varsity race at the Otsego Invitational, Saturday, Sept. 5, at Mary Jane Thurston Park.

Liberty Center won with a team score of 56. St. Ursula Academy was second with 63, and Whitmer was third with 67.

Pettisville finished with a team score of 100.

Leppelmeier ran the race in 20 minutes, 51 seconds. Foor finished in 21:18.

Elizabeth Miller was 28th in 23:33; Natalie Hoffmire was 42nd in 25:33, and Sarah Herring was 44th in 25:36.

Andrea Aeschliman placed 52nd in 26:40, and Hannah Herring was 63rd in 29:09.

Liberty Center’s Olivia Kundo won in 20:02.

Girls Open

In the open race for girls, Ines Coronado was 34th in 31:33 and Katie Hauter was 36th in 34:19.

St. Ursula’s Nicki Sullinger won in 23:20.

Boys Varsity

The Blackbird boys placed ninth as a team with 282 points.

Liberty Center won with a team score of 45, one point ahead of Otsego, which finished with 46. Whitmer was third, with 78.

Ben Gray was the first PHS runner across the finish line. He was 37th in 19:44.

Caleb Nolander was 56th in 20:42, and Nathan Siller was 59th in 20:51. Evan Warner was 66th in 21:20, and Evan Rufenacht was 69th in 21:36.

Brayden Hernandez was 72nd in 21:43, and Elias Rash was 74th in 21:48.

Liberty Center’s Colin Burns won in 17:10.
