PHS Girls Fall To Aces, Eagles

The Pettisville girls basketball team dropped to 3- 17, 3-8 in the Buckeye Border Conference with a pair of road losses last week.

Hicksville 39, PHS 27

The Aces (7-11) led 22-11 at the half on their way to a 12-point non-league victory, Tuesday, Feb. 4.

Hicksville grabbed 33 rebounds to 22 for the Birds, but committed 20 turnovers to only 12 for PHS.

Jessica McWatters led PHS, with 15 points.

Hicksville’s Kenzie Schroeder led all scorers, with 23 points.

NC 33, PHS 21

The Eagles (8-13, 6-6 BBC) were on top 9-3 after one, but Pettisville closed within one, 13-12, at the half.

North Central outscored Pettisville 20-9 in the second half for the victory.

McWatters again led the Birds, with 14 points, but only four players scored.

Kristen Hickman led the Eagles, with nine points, as eight players got in the scorebook.
