Pettisville led 28-15 at the half and 42-23 after three before Edon outscored the birds 10-2 in the fourth for the 44-33 final.

“We got off to a quick start and our defense was solid most of the night,” said Jason Waldvogel, PHS head coach.

Pettisville’s Morgan Leppelmeier was the only scorer in double figures, with 19 points.

The Birds were 19-43 from the field for 44% and 4-6 at the foul line. Edon was 14-42 from the field for 33% and 5- 13 at the foul line.

The Locos led 18-16 after one, 27-21 at the half, and 38-27 after three.

“Give Montpelier credit, they shot the ball very well tonight,” said Waldvogel. “We were not very aggressive until the last four minutes of the game.
