PHS Girls Beat Edgerton 44-30 To Stay Undefeated




Pettisville jumped out to a 25-17 halftime lead on its way to a 44-30 non-league victory on the road, Saturday, Jan. 3.

The Birds (6-0) outscored the Bulldogs 9-3 in the third period and played even with them in the fourth.

“We struggled to find our rhythm this afternoon,” said Jason Waldvogel, PHS head coach. “Haley Nofziger kept us in the game early, and Alexa Short hit some big free throws at the end.”

Erica King led all scorers with 16 points. Nofziger and Short each scored 10.

No Bulldog scored in double figures.

Pettisville was 18/40 from the field for 45% and 5/8 from the foul line for 63%. Edgerton was 12/42 from the field for an ice-cold 29% and 6/12 from the line for 50%.

The Bulldogs (3-6) won the rebounding battle, 30-22. Each team had 10 turnovers.
